Resources for Transitional Age Youth (ages 16 - 25)

Edgewood’s services for Transition Age Youth (TAY) program addresses the needs of high risk youth and their families in San Mateo. The program is dedicated to youth ages 17-25 with severe mental health needs who are transitioning into adulthood.

Support and Advocacy for Young Adults in Transition (SAYAT) program at The Mental Health Association of San Mateo County was developed in 1990 to address the mental health needs of young people leaving foster care or the juvenile justice system. MHA recognizes that the years between 18 and 25 are critical in diagnosing the onset of mental illness. The SAYAT staff offers intensive case management and support services to facilitate successful independent living.

StarVista’s Transitional Youth Services (TYS) provides housing assistance and case management services to youth ages 18-24.
